Outperforms Arc'teryx

As a life-long skier in very cold conditions and die-hard fan of Arc'teryx, I was a little hesitant to try Berengia. Wow, I was instantly blown away. I don't know how a fabric can be both more breathable and warmer, but it is. It's also more comfortable and has more practical design elements (where pockets and zippers are located) to contain more warmth when you need it, and let it out when you don't. I've never been more satisfied with any ski clothing I've ever owned! If you're a serious skier looking for high-performance clothing, this is your brand. I'm 5'6" 130 lbs, I got the XS pant and S coat. both are plenty spacious for underlayers.

Big fan!

This shell is perfect for any and every day out, whether that be on the hill or in the backcountry. Contains pockets for all the needs and a well thought-out ventilation system that is one of a kind and even allows access to interior pockets - no jacket unzip required! The massive adjustable cuffs are also a favorite feature as they fit all sizes of gloves underneath. I've had no issues staying dry under this jacket despite my time in variety of wet climates like Washington and New Zealand. Going on 100 days in this one and haven't noticed any changes in quality thus far.

Stellar!

This is a “just out of the box” review and I’m compelled to write about it right away. This is the first jacket that I’ve purchased that has ALL of the features! I love what Beringia has done with it. The large front venting zippers (rather than under the armpit) will allow quick ventilation, access to the inner pockets, and a nice place to stuff my hands together when chilling or warming. There are 2 additional easily accessible storage pockets. The inner mesh pockets are generous and will be great for stuffing skins into. The weight of the jacket is surprisingly light considering all the features. The color, Azuki is beautiful and seems like a color will last for years, vs a fad color. I am 5’5 135lbs, wide shoulders. I’m usually between a small and medium. I went for the small. It fits great. It’s an expensive jacket but this one feels like it will last for years without wishing for another jacket. I can’t wait for the first tour!

Best shell ever

Truly the best outerwear/shell system I've ever owned. It is both comfortable and functional, waterproof but breathable for hiking, and protects me from the elements. The pockets & vents sit above my waist so they don't interfere with my backpack waist strap. And I love the color! I'm 5'4", 130lbs, and wear a small, which gives me enough space to layer underneath without being too big.
